A beautiful peaceful spot.

Aspectos positivos: El Arpa is perfectly placed in the centre of a very scenic part of Andalusia. Our room which overlooked the lake was beautifully decorated by our hosts and the patio is filled with plants. During our stay we walked the Caminito del Rey and visited Antequera and the magnificent Torcal de Antequera. We enjoyed being surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Amazing, beautiful and quiet place

Aspectos positivos: The apartment was clean, had everything needed, the view was incredible, the owner was communicative, and there were a lot of places to visit around.

Paradise found!

Aspectos positivos: Location is just superb, it has a very 'out in the wilds' feel to it and the view of the lake is just beautiful. Car is definitely needed as it is very remote. The finca itself is beautiful, it has a stunning garden area with various sunbeds etc. This is a place for peace and quiet - please never change this! Kayak hire is available about 2km down the road from a lovely man, excellently priced too.

Aspectos negativos: It was 41° for a few days when we were there. The ceiling fan did very little to help. But, they are not in control of the weather

Amazing! 10 days in paradise.

Aspectos positivos: The place is like a paradise. It is in the middle of nowhere, beautiful nature around, quiet and peaceful. Views are stunning. I enjoyed sitting on the terrace, drinking my coffee and looking on the lake. There were also great rocks nearby. Other climbing locations not far by car. We were extremely happy there and enjoyed our stay a lot.

Relaxing stay at El Arpa

Aspectos positivos: We had an amazing week-long stay at El Arpa. The remote location was very peaceful and relaxing. The apartments offer great views of the dam and surrounds (and also the stars at night). It is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.The apartment was clean and cosy and had everything we needed. It is especially well located if you would like to do the Caminito del Rey. We booked tickets for 9:00, parked at the El Kiosko Restaurant (~5kms from El Arpa), walked the route, and caught the shuttle bus back to the El Kiosko. This all worked out very well, but parking can be more difficult if you go later in the day.

Aspectos negativos: The directions to get there seemed slightly overcomplicated. In our case if you put El Arpa into Google Maps from Málaga airport, the route is the same as the detailed instructions provided (Airport; A-7052; A-357; take the MA-5403 just after Ardales; El Arpa).

Really quite place, close to nature with a great view.

Aspectos positivos: Really quite place, perfect for escaping from city noise. Close to nature, some great places for hiking, climbing or other activities.

We really rested

Aspectos positivos: Great location away from the city. Throughout our stay we were accompanied by wonderful silence and at night a million stars in the sky. Wonderful view of the lake. Full kitchen equipment. Very close to the Desplomilandia climbing sector, 10 minutes on foot. We really rested. Muchas grasias! :)

Aspectos negativos: Electric current is from solar panels so you should not use a hair dryer. It wasn't a problem but if I had read it before, I wouldn't take it in my suitcase.
